You have probably seen an increase in the amount of junk mail or Spam
which shows up in your email box. The activities of a small number of people are
becoming a bigger problem for the Internet and its users. Spam has now become
the bulk of email and is quickly eroding the benefits of email.
Spammers use software harvesting programs such as robots or spiders to record
e-mail addresses listed on Web sites, including both personal Web pages and
institutional (corporate or non-profit) Web pages.
There are many ways to prevent or reduce the amount of Spam you receive,
one of these is to avoid your email addresses being displayed on a website. However,
this is not always practical.
In our effort to reduce Spam sent to people listed on aibrugby.com we have developed
a 'Mailer' program to send emails to the users of the website. Our 'Mailer' program also features a CAPTCHA security check to prevent automated messages being sent to you. So, if your contact details are
displayed on the Contacts page your email address will not be shown and
therefore can never be harvested from this website. If you want to email a person
on this website simply follow the 'Email' link that will bring you to aibrugby.com's Mailer.
By filling in the fields on the Mailer your message will be emailed to the recipient
as if you sent it from your own email program (eg. Outlook, Lotus Notes) or
online mail program (eg. Gmail, Hotmail). The recipient will receive your message
safe in the knowledge that by allowing people to contact them by email through
aibrugby.com they have not increased the chances of them receiving more Spam.
